I photographed their family a few years ago, and mom was really excited about getting fresh new portraits of her family. She wanted something colorful and spring-like for her March session. I hadn’t been to this spot for awhile, and I said let’s try it out.

Backdrops like this… is what makes me LOVE spring! Even after a very dry winter and continuing dry spring here in California, the wildflowers were in full bloom! A glowing hillside and gorgeous family of five? Oh yeah!

I hadn’t used this park for a session in 3 years, so we decided to check it out for Izzy and Amelie’s 2nd and 5th birthday portrait session. Last year, mom wanted to do it in the fields, this year we opted for more color. We’ve had an exceptionally warm winter here, so it’s been extra comfortable for my child sessions. These spunky girls were a delight!
